These “Ashtanga-based” classes now start at 5pm and end at 6:10. They are powerfully sensitizing in ways that transcend what happens in regular yoga classes. You don’t have to be a teacher already to take these classes, but what happens in them is teacher-level stuff. You will learn to experience some of the more esoteric energy engagements and be sensitized to yogic breathing in an intense, old-school way. Scott teaches these classes. Scott also conducts WYC’s teacher training programs and that’s another reason why the Sequenced Yang Yoga classes on our regular schedule are good for “Teacher Training Prep.” It’s still okay for people relatively new to yoga to attend them, but anyone coming to Sequenced Yang Yoga should be interested in developing a very serious practice.
